A native of Beaufort, Debbie appreciates the beauty of the Lowcountry and can introduce you to coastal living at its best. After a career as a job coach with the S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation Dept., she put her client service experience to work in real estate. If you are interested in purchasing a home, she has great knowledge of the Beaufort area. And if you’re interested in putting your home on the market, she has great ideas to get your home ready to sell!
Beaufort has been a part of my entire life. My parents were married on Parris Island before the second world war. My grandfather was the Chaplain then and after the war the minister at St. Helena’s Episcopal church. While growing up, we used Beaufort as our home base. My parents retired here in the late 60’s and I started my hotel career on Hilton Head Island. Working in that industry for more than 25 years.
I returned to Beaufort in 1995 and took over a business that my partner and I had. This was a Boat yard and repair facility. In 2005 we decided to sell the yard and I thought about retirement but decided I was too young. Having worked with people my entire career, I started to sell Real Estate. I have since become a Broker and become involved with the Board of Realtors, serving as 2017 President. I have served on the Board of Directors and held every executive position. I am a state certified Mediator and served as an “Ombudsman” for the State Association. I have also served on the county Candidate Screening committee and on the state Arbitration Hearing panel. I am also on the Board of Assessment Appeals and serve as the Secretary of this board that hears tax payers concerns & complaints with their real property tax bills.
I have been a boater, from a young boy during summer vacations to living on a sail boat to running a boat yard. This is one of the main reasons we live in Beaufort, in addition to the southern hospitality and the beauty of the “Lowcountry”.
My name is Bill Gregory, and I am a recent transplant from northern New York State. I worked in the railroad industry for forty two years advancing from train engineer to becoming a senior manager at Amtrak helping run the third largest facility in the system with personal responsibility for 168 employees. I retired in 2009, thus beginning my search for a more relaxing lifestyle in a much warmer climate. I wound my way down the East coast looking for the right fit until reaching the Beaufort area. I felt instantly at home, bought property here and began the next chapter in my life.
I am very enthusiastic about promoting the area and exploring all aspects of the southern lifestyle and what better way to do that than to become a real estate agent. I believe that my problem-solving abilities developed during my management career working with the public at Amtrak make me well suited to any and all situations encountered in the real estate industry. Listening to clients, understanding their needs and wants and matching them with the perfect property that suits their purpose and makes them happy is my goal. I look forward to hearing from you for any and all of your real estate needs.
